The Engineered story

In 2022, Riz (Owner) got made redundant from his Design Engineering job. At the same time his wife, Dee (Co-Owner) got diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.

Around the same time, they adopted their French Bulldog who has one normal ‘frenchie’ ear – and whilst Dee was in hospital having her treatment, she drew a sketch of Turbo as a bodybuilder – Riz liked this sketch so much he decided to make it a logo and started Engineered Muscle, with his idea of the 0.5g Salt Dispenser.

Riz started the business, and started to grow the Engineered range from their dining table at home – as well as running his coaching business on the side and looking after Dee as she was having Chemotherapy treatment.

In December 2022, Dee got the all clear from her diagnosis and started her path in remission – and the Engineered range started to grow even more. Dee had gone back to her design job, whilst Riz was handling the whole business by himself – from designing, dealing with manufactures and sending orders out, he did it all whilst pursuing his passion of being a bodybuilder.

March 2023, Dee left her design job to help Riz with the business – and the range started to grow even more. With them both behind the designs, the product lines building, and with the best Athletes in Bodybuilding behind them – Riz and Dee are working tirelessly to make Engineered Muscle the best brand it can be, Made for Bodybuilders, By Bodybuilders.
